On Sunday, January 5, 2020, at 8:34 a.m., Oxnard police officers conducted a probation search in a home near 3100 Mendocino Place where they contacted Ruben Hernandez hiding in the backyard. During their investigation, the officers located a loaded sawed-off shotgun and drug paraphernalia.
Hernandez was arrested and charged with various gun related charges, including felon possession of a firearm and ammunition.
