SUBJECT: Assault with A Deadly Weapon Against a Police Officer
SUSPECTS: Lucio Sedeno, 34-year-old Oxnard resident
LOCATION: 1600 block Astoria Place, Oxnard

Officers responded to the 1600 block of Astoria Place in Oxnard regarding a family dispute on the above date and time. Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspect, Lucio Sedeno, had battered a family member and was out of 290 PC compliance. Sedeno fled the scene on foot, and officers gave chase. During the foot pursuit, Sedeno obtained a piece of glass and slashed at officers, which caused a one-inch laceration to an officer’s jaw. Sedeno was taken into custody without incident for various crimes, including Assault With A Deadly Weapon, 290 PC Violations, and others. The officer was transported to a local hospital and is being treated for the laceration. The officer is expected to make a full recovery.
