On Friday, February 21, 2025, Oxnard Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit (PCU) and Neighborhood Policing Team in conjunction with Ventura County’s Organized Retail Theft Task Force (VCORTTF), and additional local agencies, partnered with Target and Ulta Beauty in The Collection at Riverpark (Oxnard, CA) to conduct an organized retail theft operation, commonly referred to as a “Blitz.” With the assistance of asset protection and loss prevention personnel from the businesses, the operation resulted in nine (9) arrests (6 adult, 3 juvenile) for various offenses. The arrests consisted of eight misdemeanor and one warrant arrest.
The Oxnard Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit is committed to partnering with VCORTTF and local businesses to reduce retail thefts in the City of Oxnard through the strict enforcement of laws.
