On 10/21/24, at approximately 9:00 P.M., the Oxnard Police Department was in the 3700 block of Leeward Way regarding a shots fired call for service and an officer involved shooting occurred. There are no outstanding suspects and the investigation is on-going. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes in the area of Victoria Ave and Leeward Way until further notice.
