On November 29, 2024 at approximately 8:38 a.m., the Oxnard Police Department’s Homeless Liaison Officers were conducting enforcement at an illegal homeless encampment on private property in the 100 block of west Hueneme Road when they contacted 28-year-old Enrique DeJesus Munoz. They determined that Munoz was trespassing on the private property where several complaints have been received regarding trash accumulation and illegal lodging activities. During the investigation, a loaded firearm was discovered in a sling-bag worn by Munoz. Munoz has previously been arrested for felony firearms charges in the past. He was subsequently arrested for various firearms related charges while being a prohibited person.
