On January 3, 2025, at approximately 7:50 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Special Enforcement Unit (Gang Unit) and patrol officers contacted several gang members in the 800 block of Jane Dr., Port Hueneme. During the contact, Jess Olivares was found to be in possession of a firearm with the serial number obliterated. The handgun was identified as a Colt Automatic, model 1903 chambered in .380. Olivares was arrested for numerous firearms violations. Olivares is a documented gang member.
