On April 10, 2025, at approximately 8:56 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Oxnard Blvd and Sixth St. Officers contacted one of the passengers of the vehicle identified as Angel Merino, 18 years old. During the contact, Merino was found to be in possession of a semi-automatic handgun. Merino was arrested for firearms related charges.
