SUBJECT: 3 Subjects Arrested for Firearms Violations During Downtown Enforcement

Eric Madrid, 32-year-old Oxnard resident
Eduardo Pulido, 37-year-old Riverside resident

On May 30th, at approximately 12:16 a.m., officers from the Oxnard Special Enforcement Unit (Gang Unit) and the Violent Crimes Unit conducted gang enforcement in the downtown area of Oxnard. The Ventura County Sheriff’s West County Gang Unit assisted with the enforcement efforts. During the enforcement operations officers / deputies made contact with two separate motorists in the 1200 blk. of Commercial Ave.
The first vehicle was occupied by Emmanuel Estrella, and Eric Madrid. Officers ultimately conducted a search of the vehicle and located a loaded, 9-millimeter, semi-automatic handgun. Estrella and Madrid are both documented Oxnard criminal street gang members, as well as prohibited persons due to prior felony convictions. Estrella and Madrid were both arrested for felony firearms violations.
The second vehicle was occupied by Eduardo Pulido. Pulido was found to have a suspended license, and one of his passengers had a misdemeanor warrant. During a search of the vehicle officers located a loaded, 9-millimeter, Smith & Wesson, semi-automatic handgun. Pulido was subsequently arrested for firearms violations.
