En febrero 24, 2019, en alrededor 11:30PM, agentes del Departamento de Policía de Oxnard estaban en la zona de Pleasant Valley Road y Olds carretera cuando escucharon múltiples informes de disparos. Los agentes respondieron al área y observaron un sedán blanco entrar en el Océano Aire Mobile Home Estates en el 2200 Mayordomo bloque de carretera. As officers drove upon the vehicle, a male passenger fled from the vehicle, leaving the female driver.
Officers were able to learn that the male subject who fled may reside in the 1600 block of Lime Avenue within the mobile home park. Officers responded to that location and made contact with the residents. Uno de los residentes, Martinez, was determined to be the subject who fled from the vehicle, as well as the subject responsible for the shots that were fired. A handgun belonging to Martinez was also located at this location.
Martinez was arrested for weapons violations, including possessing a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance, un delito grave.
