DETALLES:

En 7-4-14, en aproximadamente 2100 horas, officers responded to the area of the 900 Block of Cooper Road reference subjects using illegal fireworks. Officers contacted Genaro Cortes as he was lighting illegal fireworks. Cortez attempted to leave, interferred with the investigation, and was found to be in possession of a loaded semi-automatic handgun which was not registered to him. Cortes was arrested for several weapon violations and delaying a peace officer.

In an effort to address the increase in firearms-related crimes, the Oxnard Police Department launched the Operation Safer and Stronger Initiative, así como el equipo de ataque de armas de fuego (RÁPIDO) liderado por la Unidad de Crímenes Violentos, to proactively remove firearms from prohibited persons in the City. El domingo, Agosto 30, 2015, en alrededor 9:55 a.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department and EMS personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Dollie Street and Petit Drive in reference to an injury collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian. Cuando ellos llegaron, un 17 year-old male was found unconscious in the roadway with serious injuries. Officers learned that the vehicle fled the scene following the collision.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect vehicle was traveling eastbound on Dollie Street approaching Petit Drive when it struck the pedestrian as he was crossing the roadway. Surveillance video was obtained during the investigation and captured the suspect vehicle prior to the collision. According to the footage, the vehicle is a light colored, four-door sedan with dark wheels, a sun roof and its rear three windows tinted.

En 12/23/10 en aproximadamente 11:30 al, police officers responded to calls of a male disturbing at the Oxnard Estado Playa Parque. El sujeto fue identificado como 45 años de edad, Regan Patno de Ventura. Patno fue desnudando y exponerse a varios padres y sus hijos pequeños en el patio del parque.

When the first officer arrived, Patno ran into the crowd of children and parents and grabbed onto one of the children in a possible attempt to use the child as a shield or to protect him from being arrested. As the officer aggressed on the suspect to take action, he was immediately assisted by the father of the child and several other community members who came to the aid of the child. The child was forcibly separated from Patno but officers continued to struggle with the suspect who was resisting the officers’ efforts to take control of him. En 2323 horas, officers responded to businesses located at the intersection of Ventura Road and Channel Islands Boulevard re: a robbery and possible stabbing.

Officers located a 34-year old male victim who said he had been speaking with a female when a male subject approached him. The male grabbed the victim and demanded the victim’s money. The victim defended himself struggling with the male. The female intervened assaulting the victim. At some point, either the male or the female stabbed the victim in the leg. Both the male and female fled on foot. They are both described as being 24 a 26 años de edad.

The victim’s injuries were described as minor. Fue tratado en la escena.

He was last seen in the area of Rose Ave and Camino Del Sol in Oxnard.

En 4/19/2011 en alrededor 11:30 AM, officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to a call of a domestic dispute in the 1800 bloque de Lookout Drive. She told officers that the suspect, identified as Sidney Johnson, had threatened her and discharged the gun inside of the residence.
