(OXNARD, California) El lunes, Febrero 10, 2014, en aproximadamente 10:35 p.m., Oxnard Police investigators with the Family Protection Unit arrested Mario Alberto Rocio, 29 years of age of Anaheim on felony child sexual abuse charges. Rocio had engaged in acts of sexual abuse with a child from Oxnard who was under the age of 10.

En 12/20/13, detectives from the Oxnard Police Department’s Narcotic and Vice unit conducted massage parlor compliance examinations throughout the City of Oxnard. This was done with the assistance of the Ventura County District Attorney’s office. Police had received multiple complaints about these specific locations. The complaints referred to the solicitation of sex and employees of the massage parlors possibly being under 18 años de edad.

The detectives responded to the above listed locations in Oxnard. Through today’s operation, three adults were arrested for Penal Code section 647(b) – Solicitation. If convicted, each person faces up to thirty days in jail, 3 years probation, and a fine.

The Oxnard Police Department takes complaints about this activity seriously and encourages those with information to contact detectives. The Department will conduct more enforcement details like these in the near future to ensure the businesses are operating in compliance with the law. En 1806 horas, officers responded to a residence in the 600 Block of Rosalinda Drive regarding 19-year old Nicholas Penaloza missing. No crime is suspected.

Nicholas was last seen at his residence around 1745 hours wearing a red shirt, tan shorts, and white sneakers. He is 5-6, 200, with short black hair.

En noviembre 22, 2013, entre las horas de 7:00 P.M. y 1:00 A.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department conducted a DUI/Driver’s license checkpoint in the northbound lanes of Oxnard Blvd. north of Second Street.

Funcionarios seleccionados 789 motorists who passed through the checkpoint and conducted four DUI investigations on drivers who had been drinking alcohol and/or using drugs while driving. Of those investigations, one driver was arrested for driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and one driver was arrested for driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and drugs and for being in possession of illegal drugs.

Citations were issued to seven drivers for various vehicle code violations. Eight drivers were issued citations for driving without a valid driver’s license, and three vehicles were towed from the checkpoint.

En noviembre 17, 2013 en aproximadamente 0625 horas, Oxnard Police responded to the 1700 Block of South Oxnard Boulevard in reference to the sexual assault of a female adult. The victim was transported to a near-by hospital where she was treated for minor injuries she sustained during the assault.

(Oxnard, California) En mayo 9, 2012 en alrededor 8:30 p.m. Oficiales Oxnard PD fueron enviados a la Gas Thrifty ubicada en 1501 En. Gonzales carretera en relación con un robo a mano. The Oxnard Police Department Traffic Unit conducted a multi-location sobriety and driver’s license checkpoint on Friday, Diciembre 9, 2011, desde 7:00 P.M. a 2:00 A.M.

The first checkpoint was conducted in the southbound lanes of Saviers Rd. at Bryce Canyon Ave. The second checkpoint was held in the southbound lanes of Rose Ave. at Tiesa Dr.

Funcionarios seleccionados 1,232 motorists who passed through the checkpoint locations and conducted seven DUI investigations with drivers who had been drinking alcohol. Five drivers were driving under the influence of alcohol and arrested. Un conductor fue detenido por una orden de DUI en circulación.

Citations were issued to fifty-four drivers for various driver’s license violations at the checkpoint. Thirty-seven drivers were issued citations for driving without a valid driver’s license and three drivers were cited for driving with a suspended driver’s license. En enero 7, 2012, en alrededor 7 a.m, members of the Oxnard PD Narcotics Unit and Special Enforcement Unit served a narcotics search warrant in the 400 bloque del norte de Grant Avenue en Oxnard.
