Three members of an Oxnard family received significant injuries in a traffic collision at the intersection of Fifth St. and Harbor Blvd. this evening.

En 7:03 p.m., Oxnard police and fire responded to an injury collision at the noted location. The Toyota Prius, driven by a 52-year-old Oxnard resident, was northbound on Harbor Blvd. The Dodge Charger, driven by a 23-year-old Oxnard man, was southbound on Harbor Blvd. and made an eastbound turn in front of the Prius.

The driver of the Charger was not injured in the crash, but the driver of the Prius and his two daughters, siglos 9 y 11, sustained significant injuries as a result of the head-on crash and were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.

An investigation as to the cause of the collision is continuing.

Detectives del Condado de Ventura Agencias Combinadas Equipo (VCAT) and the Oxnard PD narcotics unit made an arrest on Wednesday resulting in the seizure of just under four pounds of heroin. (Oxnard, California) Oxnard PD homicide detectives are investigating a shooting which left a 19-year-old Oxnard man dead. En febrero 29, 2012 en alrededor 9:00 p.m., oficiales respondieron a una llamada de una víctima de disparos en el 2000 block of San Benito Street. Officers located a 19-year-old male victim who had a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was transported to Saint John’s Regional Medical Center where he later died as a result of his injuries. Detectives are investigating this incident.

En marzo de 3, 2012 en alrededor 4 p.m. Oxnard PD respondió a un informe de un apuñalamiento en el 2000 bloque del Norte Ventura carretera. Las autoridades ubicaron un hombre de 21 años de edad que sufría de una herida de arma blanca. Los testigos dijeron a los agentes que el apuñalamiento ocurrió cerca de la intersección de la calle Azalea y Ventura carretera.

La víctima fue trasladada en ambulancia a un hospital local para recibir tratamiento. Sus heridas no eran amenaza para la vida.

(Oxnard, California) Hoy en alrededor 6:30 a.m. Oficiales Oxnard PD recibieron una llamada en 3500 Sur Calle B con respecto a un robo de auto. La víctima (28-residente de Oxnard años de edad,) dijo que un hombre hispano de unos 30 años que llevaba una sudadera negro o una camisa de franela con capucha blanco y negro se acercó a la víctima y le exigió su auto. El sospechoso amenazó a la víctima con un cuchillo. The victim gave up his car, a gray 2003 Nissan Altima y llamó a la policía. The stolen vehicle in the carjacking case had hit a parked Oxnard Fire Department truck, causing minor damage. El sospechoso salió de la escena del atropello y fuga hacia el sur por Cypress Road.

(Oxnard, California) Hoy en alrededor 1 p.m. un hombre entró en la 76 Gasolinera ubicada en 1861 N. Ventura Road en Oxnard con una pistola. Amenazó al encargado con la pistola y exigió dinero. Once the attendant handed over cash, the suspect left the business. Nadie resultó herido.

(Oxnard, California) El viernes de mayo 25, 2012 en alrededor 8 p.m., Oxnard police officers were dispatched to the Walmart Supercenter Store located at 2001 N. Rose Avenue in Oxnard regarding a sexual assault committed on a child.

The male victim told officers he had been in the electronics area of the store when a Hispanic male adult approached and sexually assaulted him. The store’s surveillance cameras captured the assault on video. A similar incident occurred at the same store involving another young boy in January of this year. That incident was also reported to police but no suspect was identified.

El sábado, Mayo 26, 2012 en 8 p.m. a Walmart loss prevention agent saw the same suspect in the store that he saw on the video committing the sexual assault on the child and immediately notified Oxnard PD. Oxnard officers responded and arrested the suspect. The suspect is Juan Francisco Gonzalez (7/29/72) de Oxnard. He is currently being held in the Ventura County Jail on $500,000 fianza. Gonzalez is not eligible for bail because of an immigration hold.

Family Protection Unit detectives believe there are about 20 young boys who were sexually assaulted by Gonzalez. Detectives have reviewed many hours of video and have been able to identify five victims up to this point. Además, Gonzalez may have committed these acts at the Caballeros Circus on Saviers Road in March or April of this year and possibly at the Game Stop on Rose Avenue.

Gonzalez’s victims are all boys and range between the ages of 7 a 10. He does not remove the victims’ clothing but he has physical contact with them in a sexual manner. If you believe your child may have been a victim of this suspect, please contact Detective Luis McArthur at (805) 385-7662.

(Oxnard, California) El lunes, Junio 18, 2012 entre las horas de 8:00 a.m. y 12:30 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department’s Traffic Unit conducted an undercover “court sting” operation at the Ventura County Superior Court targeting individuals who have had their license suspended for DUI and/or other hazardous driving offenses.

Undercover officers attended the morning traffic court proceedings and listened to the judge instruct several individuals not to drive as their licenses were suspended or revoked. After hearing the instructions, officers followed the offenders from the courtroom to the parking area to make sure they were following the judge’s orders.

Officers followed eleven offenders and three had alternate means of transportation. The remaining eight chose to get into their vehicles and drive. They were stopped by awaiting officers and arrested. Their vehicles were towed and will be subject to 30-day impounds.

Oxnard PD will continue to conduct these types of operations to help reduce the number of DUI and injury-related collisions on our roadways. En años recientes, when compared with cities of similar size in California, Oxnard consistently ranks in the top three for the highest number of DUI and injury crashes. Funding for this effort was provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

(Oxnard, California) En julio 23, 2012 en 6:19 p.m. Oficiales Oxnard PD respondieron a Colonia Park ubicado en la avenida Juanita y Cooper carretera respecto llamadas de disparos. Officers contacted several witnesses and the description of the suspect vehicle was broadcast to all on-duty staff.

En 6:27 p.m., oficiales de la Unidad Especial de Aplicación detuvieron un vehículo que creían que era el vehículo sospechoso y observaron un arma parcialmente oculto en el interior. Un testigo de la escena original fue llevado a la ubicación de la parada de tráfico y positivamente identificó a uno de los ocupantes como implicada en el incidente en Colonia Parque.

Pompeyo Diaz De Leon (1/4/77) y Ariana Pacheco (8/2/93) fueron detenidos por la descarga de un arma de forma temeraria y numerosas violaciones de las armas de fuego.
