En 4/22/13 en aproximadamente 2000 horas, Oxnard police officers responded to shooting victims in the 600 bloque de Devonshire Drive.

The female was treated at the scene and transported to Saint John’s Regional Medical Center with a minor gunshot wound to her back. The female was listed in stable condition and the wound was not life threatening.

Officers located another gunshot victim several blocks away. This victim was identified as a 19-year old male with several gunshot wounds. The male victim was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center and listed in stable but serious condition. The injuries are not life threatening.

En 5/30/13 en aproximadamente 2203 horas, oficiales fueron enviados a la 1900 block of Napoleon Avenue regarding a fight involving a possible traffic collision. When officers arrived they located a male subject who had suffered several stab wounds. Despite emergency responders’ efforts to save the subject, he died as a result of his injuries.

The victim was identified as Aaron Gomez, un 18 residente de Oxnard años de edad. Investigators are following up on several leads and motives at this time. On July 4th, the Channel Islands Harbor District will be hosting its 16th annual 4th of July event. En 7/29/13 en 1331 horas, an Oxnard Police K-9 officer stopped a vehicle in the 2300 bloque del Sur K Street, por una violación del código de vehículos. El controlador, 34 year old Juan Ayala of Oxnard, was on probation and out on bail for gun and drug-related charges.

En 8/18/13 en aproximadamente 0600 horas, an officer from the Oxnard Police Department was patrolling the area of Ventura Road and Devonshire Drive when he stopped a vehicle for a vehicle code violation. The driver was contacted and identified as Frank Granados Jr. It was determined that Granados was on probation for prior narcotic related offenses. During a probation search of the vehicle, a large amount of methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe was located. Granados was arrested for 11377(un) H&S, Possession of a Controlled Substance, 11379(un) H&S, Transportation of a Controlled Substance, 11364.1(un) H&S, Possession of a Smoking Device, y 3454(c) P.C., PRO violation, y fichado en la cárcel del Condado de Ventura.

Frank Granados Jr. was on the Post Release Offender (PRO) programa. The PRO Program released non-violent, non-sexual, and non-serious offenders from prison pursuant to Assembly Bill 109.

En septiembre 20, 2013, en alrededor 10:51 P.M., officers from the Oxnard Police Department and EMS personnel responded to the intersection of Hemlock Street and Capstan Drive in reference to a hit-and-run injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

El peatón, Aida Reyes, was transported to a local hospital where she underwent emergency surgery for her injuries. The Oxnard Police Department was informed this morning that Reyes died as a result of the injuries she sustained during the collision.

The Oxnard Police Traffic Unit is actively investigating this collision.

DETALLES:

En 9/23/2013, en aproximadamente 4:40 AM, officers from the Oxnard Police Department were stopped in the area of Seventh Street and Ventura Road when they heard several gunshots coming from a nearby neighborhood. Officers responded to the area of the 1300 block of Hull Place to investigate.

Officers observed a vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed and attempted a traffic stop. Los ocupantes del vehículo, two juveniles, 15 y 16 años de edad, fled from the vehicle and were arrested after a brief foot pursuit.

Further investigation revealed that the vehicle the juveniles were driving, a Mitsubishi Galant, was stolen but had not been reported. Officers also located a loaded semi-automatic handgun inside of the vehicle. Both Juveniles were charged with auto theft, conspiracy and weapons violations. They were lodged into Juvenile Hall.

No one was injured during this event and officers were unable to locate any damage related to the gunshots being fired.
