En marzo de 12, 2012, en alrededor 11:49 a.m., Oxnard PD officers responded to Victoria Avenue south of Gonzales Road after receiving a call of a traffic collision involving three vehicles. Una vez en escena, officers and EMS personnel found that the vehicles, a green BMW sedan, a black SUV and a silver Pontiac sedan had collided in the northbound lanes. The driver of the BMW sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. Oxnard resident Robert Ramos, 60, suffered a leg injury and pain to his chest. Oxnard resident Donna Leite, 62, suffered minor cuts and abrasions along with her passengers, four juveniles – ages three, cuatro, y cinco. All were transported to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment. Their injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the BMW was traveling southbound on Victoria Avenue. Por razones desconocidas, the vehicle drove across the dirt center median and into the opposing lanes where it collided head-on with the black SUV and the silver sedan.

It is unknown if alcohol or drugs are a factor in this collision.

(Oxnard, California) El miércoles, Junio 6, 2012, officers from Oxnard PD responded to Pacifica High School because of a report that a substitute teacher participated in improper conduct with a 17-year old, male student. The investigation revealed that the adult had been engaging in “sexting” with the juvenile, including sending inappropriate photographs to each other.

(Oxnard, California) En julio 4, the Channel Islands Harbor District will be hosting its 15th annual Fourth of July event. El evento comenzará a las 8 a.m. con un 10K & 5K Fun Run/Walk along Sunset Lane and Mandalay Beach Road. This will be followed by the Children’s Parade on Harbor Boulevard.
