DETALLES:
En noviembre 10, 2015 en aproximadamente 03:10 a.m., detectives from the Oxnard Police Department Auto Theft Task Force were assisting Oxnard Police patrol officers, conducting an investigation into a stolen vehicle in the 1300 bloque de E. Channel Islands Blvd., en la Ciudad de Oxnard. Detectives observed Edith Cooper enter a 2008 GMC Yukon, which had been reported stolen to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department. As officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the stolen vehicle failed to yield. El conductor del vehículo, Edith Cooper, led officers on a vehicle pursuit reaching speeds of 65 miles per hour in 35 miles per hour zone and failing to stop at a red light. Cooper ultimately abandoned the vehicle in the 700 block of West Channel Islands Blvd and fled on foot. Officers were able to apprehend Cooper after a short foot pursuit.

Burglary tools were found in the vehicle at the time of the stop. Cooper was booked for the unlawful driving of a stolen vehicle, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, posesión de herramientas de robo, and felony evading of a police officer.

The Oxnard Police Department launched the Oxnard Auto Theft Task Force (OATTF) in early 2015. Detectives assigned to this task force proactively locate and arrest those responsible for committing auto thefts in Oxnard. The objective of the OATTF is to reduce the number of stolen vehicles in Oxnard through education, intervention, and enforcement. Anyone with information related to stolen vehicles is encouraged to call 385-7664 and can remain anonymous.

DETALLES: En febrero 20, 2016 en aproximadamente 9:20 PM, investigators from the Oxnard Police Department Violent Crimes Unit were conducting uniformed crime suppression when they observed Daniel Arciga, 20 residente de Oxnard años de edad, en el 1800 bloque de la Avenida Napoleón. Arciga immediately fled and discarded a loaded firearm. Arciga was taken into custody after a brief chase.

Arciga is a documented Oxnard gang member and has several prior felony convictions including a conviction of felon in possession of a firearm. Arciga was arrested for weapons violations and booked at the Ventura County Jail.

En 01/21/08 en aproximadamente 1353 hours officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 400 block of East Guava Street. Nobody was injured during the shooting but several shell casings were located. A search of the area for the suspects was conducted with negative results. During the investigation it was determined to be gang/tagger related.

During those incidents, victims were walking in the area of Seventh and “E” Streets when they were contacted by the listed suspects. During those contacts the suspects demanded the victims’ cellular phones, cash and shoes. After the crimes, the suspects were seen entering a residence in the 600 bloque de West Seventh Street.

En 1/28/09 en aproximadamente 1120 horas, Oxnard Police Officer Ricky Vega was patrolling the Rose Park area of Oxnard when a white vehicle caught his attention. DETALLES:

En 2/3/09 en alrededor 0900 horas, Oxnard Police Officer Boswell was on patrol in a marked unit traveling eastbound in the south alley of the 500 block of Cuesta Del Mar. Officer Boswell saw two subjects riding on a bicycle westbound in the south alley of the 500 block of Cuesta Del Mar. Officer Boswell saw one subject was seated on the handlebars and he was holding a car stereo. When the subjects saw Officer Boswell they both fled on foot leaving the bicycle behind.

Assisting officers arrived and about 5 minutes later both subjects were located hiding in an apartment complex in the 600 block of Cuesta Del Mar. The car stereo was located a short distance away.

While Officers were on scene, Hernandez approached and advised his vehicle had been broken into and the car stereo was missing. Hernandez was shown the car stereo the suspect’s were in possession of and he identified it has his stereo.

Both juveniles were arrested for conspiracy, burglary and possession of stolen property. They were transported to the Oxnard Police Department and later released to their parents.

En 12-24-09 en 7:28 Oficiales PM respondieron a una llamada de una pelea en el estacionamiento de Chicago licor ubicada en 1930 No. Ventura Rd.. Al llegar los agentes localizaron tres víctimas de un Asalto a mano armada y un robo de auto Attempt. Una de las tres víctimas tenían un corte en la cara de la lucha contra el sospechoso.

The suspect came up to the victim and had a verbal confrontation, during the exchange of words the suspect pulled a knife and cut one of the three victims.
