DETALLES:
En noviembre 7, 2012, en aproximadamente 1500 horas, officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to a radio call of a theft in progress at Fry’s Electronics, 1901 Ventura Boulevard. Upon officers’ arrival, el sospechoso, Juan Acosta, had fled from the loss prevention agents.

Durante la investigación de los oficiales, Acosta returned to the parking lot to retrieve his vehicle. An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop, and suspect Acosta fled from the vehicle. The officer went in foot pursuit of suspect Acosta, and at the termination of the foot chase, suspect Acosta punched the officer and knocked the officer’s handheld radio out of his hand when the officer was requesting help.

An electronic control device (ECD) was deployed to take suspect Acosta into custody.

Un pasajero en el vehículo, Jesse Andrade, fled from the vehicle and barricaded himself in the public restroom inside of Burger King located at 2800 Paseo Mercado. Oficiales de la Unidad de Aplicación Especial del Departamento de Policía de Oxnard (SU) were dispatched to the scene. SEU officers were able to convince Andrade to surrender without incident.

Jesse Andrade was taken into custody for an outstanding felony probation warrant.

Juan Acosta was placed under arrest for commercial burglary, petty theft with priors, battery on a police officer, and interfering with police communication.

Juan Acosta was on the Post Release Offender (PRO) programa. The PRO program released nonviolent, nonsexual and nonserious offenders from prison pursuant to Assembly Bill 109.

En 12-8-12, en 0155 horas, officers were dispatched to Cooper Road at Hayes Avenue re: un robo de auto que acaba de ocurrir. A gray ’07 Dodge Magnum was taken by three HM’s 20 a 30 año. Uno estaba en posesión de un arma de fuego negro. Un segundo sospechoso fue descrito como un cabeza rapada. DETALLES:En diciembre 20, 2012, en alrededor 12:41 p.m., Oficiales Oxnard PD respondieron a la zona de Beaumont Avenue y Langley Street después de recibir una llamada de una colisión lesión. A la llegada, officers and EMS personnel found that a gold Ford pick-up truck, driven by Donald G. Dent, had collided into a silver Dodge Caravan that was parked near the intersection.

En 12-20-12, en 2035 horas, a female shopper walked to her car parked in front of Marshall’s located in the 1800 Bloque de Ventura Boulevard. As she entered her car, a Hispanic male, 20 a 30 año, medium build and dark complexion grabbed her holding a knife to her. (OXNARD, California)– On April 2, 2013, en aproximadamente 12:30 p.m., 19 year old Oxnard resident Jorge Cervantes was arrested for his role in the gang-motivated murder of Alfredo Vargas. Cervantes was arrested in the area of Pleasant Valley Road and Perkins Road in Oxnard after officers observed him as a passenger in a vehicle. Cervantes was transported to the Ventura County Jail where he will be awaiting court proceedings along with the other two suspects that were arrested last week.

There are additional outstanding suspects in the Alfredo Vargas homicide and other investigations are being actively worked. These investigations include the 2006 murder of Oscar Gonzales, la 2009 murder of Ramiro Huerta, y el 2012 murder of Jose Gonzales. Investigators believe members of the Lemonwood Chiques criminal street gang are responsible for all of these murders.

En 5/3/13 en aproximadamente 1700 horas, Oxnard police officers were dispatched to the intersection of Napoleon Avenue and Alexander Street regarding a fight with rocks and bottles. Police believe the victim was confronted by approximately four Hispanic males at the intersection of Napoleon Avenue and Alexander Street. Residents on Sutter Place noticed the victim and called the police.

(OXNARD, CALIF) En mayo 8^ª 2013, en alrededor 7:30 a.m., members of the Oxnard Police Department’s Narcotics Unit served a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Kiawah River Drive in the City of Oxnard. The search warrant was part of a month long investigation regarding marijuana sales.

Durante la búsqueda de la residencia, detectives located over 15 pounds of marijuana and other evidence indicating that sales of marijuana were being conducted from this residence. They also learned that the home where the sales were being conducted was within 1000 feet of a nearby elementary school.

Two of the residents, Robert Mckee and Cameron Fletcher, were arrested and booked into Ventura County Jail for sales of marijuana as well as conducting this type of illegal activity within 1000 feet of an elementary school.

This case would not have been possible if not for the several anonymous tips we received during the investigation. When the officers got to the house, they spoke with the victim who identified Antonio Aldaco as the person that sexually assaulted her. Aldaco had fled the house before police arrived. Investigators from the Oxnard Police Department’s Family Protection Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the suspect.

En 7-9-13, en 2055 horas, the Oxnard Police Department received several calls of gunshots heard in the 1400 block of Casa San Carlos Lane. Upon arrival officers located one gunshot victim lying in the street. La víctima, whose name is being withheld pending the investigation, fue transportado al Centro Médico del Condado de Ventura.
