DETALLES:
En octubre 15, 2015, en alrededor 10:40 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department and EMS personnel responded to the intersection of Ventura Road and Wagon Wheel Road in reference to a single vehicle injury collision. A la llegada, firefighters and rescue personnel used the Jaws of Life to extricate the two male occupants from the vehicle, un blanco 1993 Nissan 300ZX.

El conductor del Nissan, Asael Mendez, sustained serious injuries and was transported from the scene to the Ventura County Medical Center where he is still listed in critical condition. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigation and information obtained from witnesses indicates that the Nissan was traveling northbound on Ventura Road approaching Wagon Wheel Road at a high rate of speed. For an unknown reason, it lost control, veered off the roadway and collided into a block wall located at the entrance to the shopping center at the intersection. During the collision, the vehicle also struck a fire hydrant positioned on the sidewalk near the block wall. The hydrant was dislodged from its base and landed several feet away in the southbound lanes of Ventura Road. The Nissan came to rest on the center median of Ventura Road at its intersection with Wagon Wheel Road.
Although speed contributed to the cause of the collision, it is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were factors in the crash. La colisión es todavía bajo investigación.

DETALLES:

On October 21st at 7:05 p.m. a stabbing victim walked into St. John’s Regional Medical Center with multiple stab wounds. Emergency room staff notified the Oxnard Police Department of the incident and police officers responded to investigate.

The preliminary investigation revealed the incident took place near the intersection of Palm Drive and G Street in Oxnard. The victim was in the area when he became involved in a physical altercation with two suspects. During the altercation the victim was stabbed by one of the suspects. The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction and the victim was driven to the hospital by friends.

DETALLES: En marzo de 3, 2016, en alrededor 2:00 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded with officers from the Ventura County Probation Agency to conduct a probation compliance check at the residence of known gang members.

When officers arrived they attempted to contact two known probationers in the driveway. un tema, later identified as Jordy Carrillo, fled into the residence. As officers gave chase through the house, Carrillo discarded a loaded handgun. Carrillo was previously convicted of several felonies and is prohibited from possessing firearms. The handgun was determined to be stolen out of the city of Moorpark. The other subject, Francisco Rojo, had previously been served with one of Oxnard’s civil gang injunctions and was currently in violation of those terms.

Carrillo was arrested for resisting arrest, numerous gun violations and possession of a stolen firearm. Rojo was arrested for violating the gang injunction and for violating his probation.

En 3/26/10 en 1405 horas, officers from the Oxnard Police Department were monitoring the drainage canal to the rear of the Wagon Wheel Ice Skating Rink reference ongoing graffiti to the walls and canal.

For the Cinco de Mayo holiday, the Oxnard Police Department Traffic Unit deployed four officers to conduct DUI saturation patrol between the hours of 6:00 P.M. y la medianoche.

Estos agentes detuvieron a 40 vehículos, conducted seven DUI investigations, and arrested three drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol. En 8-13-10 Los oficiales del Departamento de Policía de Oxnard respondieron a una llamada de un robo en progreso a un negocio en el 100 bloque de North Oxnard bulevar. DETALLES:

En 8/5/10 en aproximadamente 1829 hora de Policía de Oxnard fueron enviados a la 900 bloque del Sur Ventura carretera en relación con un tiroteo que acababa de ocurrir. Cuando llegaron los agentes localizaron a dos víctimas que habían sufrido heridas de bala. Una de las víctimas había sufrido una herida de bala en el brazo derecho y la otra víctima había sufrido dos heridas de bala en la mano izquierda. Ambas víctimas fueron transportadas a VCMC donde trataron por sus lesiones y posteriormente puestos en libertad.

Policía localizaron el vehículo sospechoso en la zona de los molinos y de la calle principal en la ciudad de Ventura. Cuando el vehículo se detuvo a tres de los ocupantes huyeron del vehículo, mientras que uno de los ocupantes se quedó en el vehículo. Uno de los sospechosos que huían del vehículo fue localizado y detenido.

Durante el curso de la investigación, Violent Crimes Unit Investigators were able to identify Frank Williams, un 24 residente de Oxnard años de edad, as one of the occupants of the vehicle who fled on foot.
