DETALLES: (Oxnard, CA.) – Investigators with the Oxnard Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit is seeking information regarding the murder of 21-year old David Garcia.

En junio 25, 2016, en aproximadamente 10:50 p.m., Oxnard police officers responded to a call of a shooting victim in the alley of the 1300 block of South “C” Street. When the police officers arrived on scene, they found David Garcia lying in the alley. Garcia had been shot and was mortally wounded. The Oxnard Fire Department and Gold Coast Ambulance arrived on scene and rendered aid. Desafortunadamente, Garcia was declared deceased at the scene.

En diciembre 15, 2017, en aproximadamente 9:52 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department were checking the area of Perkins Road and McWane Boulevard related to an earlier call for service. A vehicle was located in the area and detained for a vehicle code violation.

Mientras los oficiales se acercaban al vehículo, they saw that the right front passenger, 21-year-old Oxnard resident Mark Garganta, had a 9mm semi-automatic pistol concealed on the floorboard near his feet. Officers immediately took Garganta into custody and determined that the pistol was loaded with several rounds of ammunition.

The vehicle was later searched and several additional rounds of ammunition for the pistol were found. Garganta is a convicted felon who is prohibited by law from possessing firearms. Garganta was arrested for various firearms and other related charges and later booked into the Ventura County Jail for the violations.

The Oxnard Police Department is Arresting Drunk Drivers This Holiday Season

The Heroes & Helpers program fosters strong community relationships by pairing public safety officials with youth to shop for the children’s families during the holidays. Este año, thirty (30) well deserving children from the Oxnard School District were chosen to shop with our first responders and Target team members. Students were selected by the School Resource Officers in partnership with the school principals and counselors. Students had a special meet and greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus before enjoying a $200 shopping spree.

This event could not be made possible without the generous donations of sponsors and volunteers. En diciembre 12, 2017, en 5:55 p.m., Officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to a call of a stabbing victim in the 500 bloque de S. ‘K’ Street. Officers located Delgado (víctima) who suffered three (3) non-life threatening stab wounds. He was transported to Ventura County Medical Center by ambulance where he underwent surgery and is currently in stable condition. The Oxnard Violent Crimes Unit is currently investigating the circumstances of the attack.

DETALLES: (Oxnard, California) – On December 5, 2017, en aproximadamente 11:30 p.m., Los agentes de policía de Oxnard respondieron a un informe de una víctima de apuñalamiento en el 300 bloque de la avenida North Rose. The police officers arrived on scene and located the victim, 26-year old Jesus Pizano, que sufre de múltiples heridas de arma blanca. Pizano was transported by ambulance to the Ventura County Medical Center and listed in critical condition. Despite the life-saving efforts of the medical staff, Pizano died on December 8, 2017, en aproximadamente 3:30 p.m.

Pizano’s death is being investigated as a homicide. The Oxnard Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit is leading the investigation. Detectives advise there is no clear motive at this time.

This is Oxnard’s fifteenth (15) homicide of the year.

En diciembre 5, 2017, en 2:43 pm, Los agentes de policía de Oxnard respondieron a un intento de robo a mano armada de un cartero en el complejo de apartamentos cerca 201 En. Viñedo. A la llegada, los oficiales descubrieron un robo de vehículo en la misma área. Además, llegó una segunda víctima de robo y proporcionó una descripción del sospechoso.
