El domingo, Agosto 30, 2015, en alrededor 9:55 a.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department and EMS personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Dollie Street and Petit Drive in reference to an injury collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian. Cuando ellos llegaron, un 17 year-old male was found unconscious in the roadway with serious injuries. Officers learned that the vehicle fled the scene following the collision.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect vehicle was traveling eastbound on Dollie Street approaching Petit Drive when it struck the pedestrian as he was crossing the roadway. Surveillance video was obtained during the investigation and captured the suspect vehicle prior to the collision. According to the footage, the vehicle is a light colored, four-door sedan with dark wheels, a sun roof and its rear three windows tinted.

DETALLES:
En 12/23/10 en aproximadamente 11:30 al, police officers responded to calls of a male disturbing at the Oxnard Estado Playa Parque. El sujeto fue identificado como 45 años de edad, Regan Patno de Ventura. Patno fue desnudando y exponerse a varios padres y sus hijos pequeños en el patio del parque.

When the first officer arrived, Patno ran into the crowd of children and parents and grabbed onto one of the children in a possible attempt to use the child as a shield or to protect him from being arrested. As the officer aggressed on the suspect to take action, he was immediately assisted by the father of the child and several other community members who came to the aid of the child. The child was forcibly separated from Patno but officers continued to struggle with the suspect who was resisting the officers’ efforts to take control of him. En 2323 horas, officers responded to businesses located at the intersection of Ventura Road and Channel Islands Boulevard re: a robbery and possible stabbing.

Officers located a 34-year old male victim who said he had been speaking with a female when a male subject approached him. The male grabbed the victim and demanded the victim’s money. The victim defended himself struggling with the male. The female intervened assaulting the victim. At some point, either the male or the female stabbed the victim in the leg. Both the male and female fled on foot. They are both described as being 24 a 26 años de edad.

The victim’s injuries were described as minor. Fue tratado en la escena.

DETALLES: The family of Albert Cabrera reported that he walked out of his home this morning. He suffers from dementia and other medical issues. He was last seen in the area of Rose Ave and Camino Del Sol in Oxnard.

En 4/19/2011 en alrededor 11:30 AM, officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to a call of a domestic dispute in the 1800 bloque de Lookout Drive. En 5-30-15, acerca de 2358 horas, two Oxnard Police officers were conducting a foot patrol in the 200 block of block Cuesta Del Mar. The officers observed three suspected gang members loitering in an apartment building courtyard and approached. As the officers walked closer all three subjects fled on foot. The two officers pursued on foot and immediately recognized that one of the suspects was holding a large object in his waistband area. One of the officers suspected the subject may have been armed. The officers followed two of the suspects into a field adjacent to the apartment building and detained the two. Responding units located the third suspect hiding underneath a parked car.

A police K-9 was brought into the area to search the field where two of the suspects were detained to conduct an article search. The police service dog quickly alerted his handler to an object in the grass. The dog handler located a loaded .357 caliber revolver that was discarded by the 17-year old suspect. A records check on the firearm revealed that it had been stolen in 2011.

The three suspects were arrested for gang-related offenses. The investigation revealed that the 17-year old suspect had the gun in his front waistband area as he fled from the officers and discarded it in the field as the officers approached him. Esteban Lopez, and his brother Raymundo Lopez, were arrested for resisting arrest and violating the civil gang injunction. The 17-year old suspect was booked into the Juvenile Justice Center for several firearms violations and a gang enhancement because he is a documented criminal street gang member. The two adults were booked into the Ventura County Jail.

In an effort to address the increase in firearms-related crimes, the Oxnard Police Department launched the Operation Safer and Stronger Initiative, así como el equipo de ataque de armas de fuego (RÁPIDO) led by the Violent Crime Unit, to proactively remove firearms from prohibited persons within the city.
