DETALLES:
En noviembre 24, 2011 at about midnight, Los agentes de policía de Oxnard fueron enviados a la 2300 block of Farragut Ct. in regards to several shots being fired in the area. When they arrived they contacted the victim who was uninjured. The victim told officers that he was standing outside of his residence when Antonio Garcia, un 43 residente de Oxnard años de edad, approached him. A confrontation occurred between Garcia and the victim. Durante el enfrentamiento, Garcia’s 15 year old son arrived and tried to diffuse the situation. During the confrontation Garcia pulled out a gun and shot at the victim several times. The victim fled into his residence and waited for police to arrive. No one was injured in the shooting.

Durante la investigación, officers developed information as to where Garcia might be. The Oxnard Police Department’s SWAT Team responded and with the assistance of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, checked a residence in the 1900 block of Kepler Drive. Garcia was not located at that residence. A search warrant was written and served at the residence and numerous items of evidentiary value were seized. Because this is an active investigation, detectives are not releasing information on the items seized.

Un corto tiempo después, Garcia’s attorney contacted the Oxnard Police Department and arranged for Garcia to turn himself in. Garcia was arrested at the Oxnard Police Department and booked into the Ventura County Jail for attempted murder.

En diciembre 21, 2011, en alrededor 9:40 p.m., oficiales de la Oxnard PD intentaron una parada de tráfico en un vehículo. El conductor se pensaba que era una persona buscada. Officers tried to stop the vehicle, occupied by a driver and passenger, in the area of Gonzales Road and Almanor Street, but the driver failed to yield and a pursuit began.

When the driver reached the intersection of Gonzales Road and Indiana Drive, he crossed into opposing lanes and continued westbound on the eastbound lanes of Gonzales Road. ACTUALIZACIÓN
En 12/28/2011 en alrededor 2 p.m. un testigo llamó a la policía y dijo que vio al sospechoso a bordo de un autobús en la zona de Esplanade Drive. El sospechoso fue contactado en el mismo autobús en la zona del St. Mucho de John aparcamiento Hospital en Gonzales Road y la Avenida Rose.

El sospechoso fue identificado como Macario Ramírez y fue detenido por el apuñalamiento de César García.

En 12/26/2011 en alrededor 4 p.m. agentes del Departamento de Policía de Oxnard fueron enviados a la zona de La Gloria Mercado relación con dos temas vistos discutiendo y uno que fue apuñalado con un cuchillo. During the disturbance the victim possibly struck the suspect on the forehead with a belt and buckle.

En marzo de 21, 2012, en alrededor 11:04 a.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at Seventh Street west of “C” Street. Una vez en escena, officers found that an Isuzu, mini pick-up truck, driven by Larry Fryar, 65, llegado a un niño de dos años de edad, (Nombre omitido). (Oxnard, California) Hoy en alrededor 8:59 a.m., Oxnard PD officers received a call of shots being fired into an apartment in the 200 bloque de Vineyard Avenue West. When officers arrived they located an apartment that had several bullet holes through the front door. Officers checked the residence but nobody was home. Officers conducted an extensive search of the area in an effort to locate the suspect.

Durante el curso de la investigación, investigators with the OPD violent crimes unit (VCU) were able to identify the suspect who fired into the apartment as Robert Carnes 9/7/93. Members of the OPD special enforcement unit (SU) were able to locate Carnes leaving his residence which is located in the 2400 block of Hill Rose Place. Officers took Carnes into custody without incident. Carnes was in possession of a loaded firearm. He was booked into the Ventura County Jail for various weapons violations and for shooting into an inhabited dwelling.

(Oxnard, California) En julio 14, 2012, en 7:03 p.m., Oxnard PD officers and emergency services personnel received a call regarding an injury traffic collision in the northbound lanes of Victoria Avenue north of Via Marina Avenue. Officers located a brown Dodge Ram pick-up, driven by Kris Helms, 36, de Oxnard. Helms struck a bicyclist, 55-year-old Robert Escobar of Oxnard. Escobar sustained serious head injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to Ventura County Medical Center where he underwent emergency surgery and was listed in critical condition. Helms was not injured.

Preliminary investigation indicates that Escobar was riding his bicycle northbound on Victoria Avenue and was in the bicycle lane. The pickup, driven by Helms, was also northbound. The pick-up sideswiped the bicycle causing Escobar to be thrown several feet and strike his head on the pavement. He was not wearing a helmet.

Helms was given field sobriety tests at the scene and was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and causing bodily injury to another person. He was booked into the Ventura County Jail.

The investigation into this collision continues.

(Oxnard, California) ACTUALIZACIÓN – Hoy a las 11:50 a.m., Oxnard PD officers arrested a 14-year-old Hispanic male in this case. His name will not be released because he is a juvenile. The suspect was arrested at his home in Oxnard. He will be charged with false imprisonment (236 PC) and touching an intimate part of another person while that person is unlawfully restrained (243.4(un) PC). He will be booked into Ventura County Juvenile Hall today.

On Sunday July 15, 2012 en alrededor 11:30 p.m., Oxnard police officers were dispatched to Ben’s Laundromat located at 501 Cooper Road in Oxnard regarding a sexual assault committed against a 31-year-old adult female.

The female told officers that she had been inside the laundromat near closing time when a Hispanic male entered the business and sexually assaulted her. Surveillance cameras captured the assault on video. The suspect fled the scene but was described as a Hispanic male, 15 a 18 años de edad, with short black hair, wearing a blue short-sleeve t-shirt and black shorts.
