(Oxnard, California) En julio 20, 2012 en alrededor 7:30 p.m., a pick-up travelling eastbound Fifth Street on a green light collided with a pedestrian running southbound in the west crosswalk of Ventura Road against a red light. The pedestrian was knocked to the ground after colliding with the pick-up. The driver of the pick-up stopped at the scene. The pedestrian was transported to VCMC where he is listed in stable condition with possible broken bones and facial injuries. The driver of the pick-up was not injured nor was there evidence at the scene of him being under the influence of alcohol or any drug.

The pedestrian was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. The investigation into this collision is ongoing.

DETALLES:
En agosto 1, 2012 en alrededor 2025 oficiales del Departamento de Policía de Oxnard horas respondieron a una víctima punzante localizado en el 4700 bloque de Terrace Avenue. La víctima, un 30 años de edad, residente de Oxnard masculina, was taken to Ventura County Medical Center for his injuries. En 09/17/12 en aproximadamente 1027 policías hora Oxnard respondieron a la 1900 bloque de Dunsmuir Street referencia a una perturbación de la familia. Officers learned the victim and his cousin, Daniel Gonzales, were involved in an argument when the stabbing occurred. Gonzales left the residence prior to officers’ arrival.

The victim was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center with injuries described as “non-life threatening.”

(OXNARD, California) Investigators with the Oxnard and Ventura Police Departments, along with agents from the local FBI office, have identified the bank robbery suspect known as the ‘Wig-Out Bandit’. The suspect has been identified as Daniel Lopez Jr., 49 años de edad. López es sospechoso de robar:

DETALLES:

En septiembre 6, 2012, Oxnard Police Department detectives and members of the Ventura County Cold Case Task Force arrested Thomas Young, edad 65, of Fairfield, Alabama, for the murder of Stacy Knappenberger. Stacy Knappenberger era 15 años de edad cuando fue asesinado en julio 30, 1980, in her Oxnard home. An autopsy at that time determined that Knappenberger had died from blunt force trauma and multiple stab wounds. It is also suspected that a sexual assault occurred.

After his arrest in Alabama, Young declined to voluntarily waive extradition proceedings to Ventura County. The Ventura County DA’s Office applied for a Governor’s Warrant which was approved and sent to the Alabama Governor’s Office. The extradition was approved through the Jefferson County Superior Court, and Young’s extradition was ordered.

Members of the Ventura County Cold Case Task Force proceeded to Alabama and have returned to Ventura County, Noviembre 18, 2012, with Young in custody. He has been booked late last night into Ventura County Main Jail with no bail. Young’s first court appearance in Ventura County is scheduled at 9:00 AM, Lunes, Noviembre 19, 2012, en la División 12 of the Ventura County Superior Court.

En noviembre 26, 2012, en alrededor 10:53 a.m., Oficiales Oxnard PD respondieron a la zona de Islas del Canal Boulevardand Península Roadafter recibir una llamada de una colisión lesión que afecta a dos vehículos en la intersección de las Islas del Canal y el bulevar Peninsula Road. Upon arrival to the scene, officers and EMS personnel found that a pewter Honda Accord and a gray Honda Civic collided in the intersection.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the Accord, driven by Sydney Irene Bolton, was traveling westbound on Channel Islands Boulevard towards a red light at Peninsula Road. En 2/9/13 en 0128 horas, the Oxnard Police Department was notified regarding a critical missing; John Carlo Marquez. He was last seen on February 8, 2013 en 5:00 p.m. en el 2100 block of Posada Drive in Oxnard.

John is a Hispanic male, 5 feet tall, weighs 100 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. John was last seen wearing a white buttoned shirt and black athletic shorts.

Oxnard PD officers are checking possible known locations where John has been in the past.

DETALLES:

En 1706 horas, oficiales fueron enviados a la 700 Block of Fresca Drive re: a subject reportedly having run inside the residence and in possession of a gun. The persons reporting this were the residents of the home on Fresca Drive.

Officers had residents come out of the home and then went to search for the subject allegedly in possession of a gun. Martin Rojas, 19 año, un residente de Oxnard, was found inside. A handgun was located in the garage of the residence. Officers found the handgun was unloaded. Officers also learned that the handgun was placed in the garage by Rojas.

Rojas did not threaten the residents. No hubo heridos.

It was not established why Rojas ran into the residence and hid the handgun.

Rosas was charged with possession of a concealed firearm, 25400(un)(2) PC.
