DETALLES: En 5/16/14 en aproximadamente 1230 horas, Oxnard police officers were dispatched to 2195 East Channel Island Boulevard reference a stabbing victim. Las autoridades ubicaron a la víctima, Samuel Lopez, with several stab wounds to his left arm and upper torso. Samuel was transported via ambulance to the Ventura County Medical Center. He is expected to survive his wounds.
Investigators from the Oxnard police department’s Violent Crimes Unit took over the investigation. Durante el curso de la investigación, detectives were able to identify the suspects involved in the attack. The suspects were identified as Oxnard residents Donald Reyes, Tare Rincon, y un 17 años de edad de menores.
As of 6/4/14, all three suspects are in police custody. They are charged with attempted murder, with the special allegation that the crime was committed for the benefit of a criminal street gang.
