En 7/31/14 en aproximadamente 0540 horas, Oxnard police officers responded to Camino Del Sol Park located at 1500 Camino Del Sol reference citizens reporting a subject vandalizing property with a large metal pole.

The subject, identified as Angel Jimenez, was located inside the park in possession of the metal pole and a pit bull. Officers attempted to negotiate with the subject, sin embargo, he was uncooperative and challenged the officers to shoot him. The subject was subsequently taken into custody for criminal threats and resisting arrest. The dog was captured unharmed and placed into the Ventura County Animal Shelter.

The Oxnard Police Department continues to encourage residents to be partners in public safety as part of the Operación segura y resistente Iniciativa. This is an excellent example of witnesses who saw suspicious activity, called the police, and provided the appropriate information. En agosto 2, 2014, en 0017 horas, officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to the area of San Mateo Place and Geronimo Drive in the city of Oxnard reference a check the well-being. Once on scene officers located a 33 year-old Oxnard resident who had been kidnapped and robbed in the South Oxnard. The victim was physically battered and sustained minor injuries. The suspects were described as four Hispanic males and a single Hispanic female. The suspects fled the area in unknown type of SUV.

En octubre 5, 2014, en alrededor 3:00 a.m., Oxnard police officers responded to a report of a carjacking. Officers contacted the victim and learned that he had provided a ride to the suspects whom he had just met. As the victim drove them, one of the suspects produced a weapon and demanded the victim hand over his property. After the victim complied, they had him stop and exit his vehicle. The suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle.

A eso de las 6:30 a.m., Ventura police officers located the victim’s vehicle in the area of Thompson Blvd and Hemlock, Ciudad de Ventura. Officers found two males standing next to the vehicle and were able to detain them. A female was also located nearby. All three were identified as the suspects involved in the carjacking and robbery. The suspects had items taken from the victim in their possession.

All three suspects were arrested and later admitted to their involvement in the incident.
