En 10/26/15 en aproximadamente 12:55 a.m., three males were seen removing the hood of a parked vehicle in the 2300 block of Oneida Place. Patrol officers were already in the area and were able to detain all three subjects as they attempted to walk off with the hood of the vehicle. The suspects were identified as 20 year-old Jesus Zamora, 19 year-old Erik Parra and 20 year-old Luis Giovanni Gonzalez, todos los residentes de Oxnard. The suspects were arrested for felony vehicle tampering.

En noviembre 7, 2015, en alrededor 0010 horas, Oxnard Police Department officers responded to a shooting in the 400 block of North “G” St. Officers responded to the scene and located several victims. During the investigation it was learned that the victims were shot at by the suspect in the west alley of North “G” St. The suspect was seen jumping fences in the 400 block of North “H” St prior to officers’ arrival. Officers set up a perimeter around the area. Oxnard Police Department SWAT and Detectives responded to the scene.

Oxnard Police searched several locations on North “H” St. Officers located the suspect, David Cabanas, hiding in a residence on North “H” St. Cabanas was taken into custody without incident. Cabanas is a documented Colonia Chiques gang member.

En noviembre 12, 2015 en aproximadamente 1545 horas, officers from the Special Enforcement Unit were conducting gang enforcement in the downtown area of the city. The officers conducted a vehicle traffic stop in the area of First and “C” St. During the traffic stop they contacted Efren Salomon and Melissa Huff. Huff is currently on probation for narcotic related offenses and Salomon is a Post Release Offender (PRO) with weapon terms. Salomon is also a documented gang member.

SEU and PRO officers conducted a follow-up probation search at Salomon’s residence. During the search a loaded semi-automatic pistol was located.

Salomon was arrested for firearm and probation related charges. Huff was arrested for narcotic related charges.

The Post Release Offender program was created by Assembly Bill 109 - el 2011 Realineación de la seguridad pública- which was effective October 1, 2011. This program mandates individuals sentenced to non-violent, non-serious or non-sex offenses will serve their sentences in county jails instead of state prison. The first checkpoint was conducted in the westbound lanes of Gonzales Road west of Snow Avenue. The second checkpoint was conducted in the southbound lane of Hobson Way south of Seventh Street. These locations were chosen to provide increased DUI deterrence and in response to recent alcohol related arrests and/or DUI collisions.

The checkpoints resulted in the following:

La 41 year-old female was arrested for DUI alcohol at the checkpoint on Hobson Way after she made an unlawful U-turn at the entrance to the checkpoint. Her blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit of .08.

DETALLES: En febrero 19, 2016 en aproximadamente 1600 hours Willie Asuncion walked away from his home in the 1000 block of Beverly Drive in the city of Oxnard. Sr.. Asuncion has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and recently suffered a stroke which makes it difficult to understand him. The Oxnard Police Department is enlisting the public’s assistance in locating Mr. Asuncion. Anyone with information as to Mr. Asuncion’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Oxnard Police Department Dispatch Center.

En 12/20/2009 en alrededor 0244 horas, the victim was sitting on his front porch when a black compact vehicle parked in front of his residence. En 5/13/2010 en aproximadamente 7:00 pm, a vehicle with several subjects was traveling W-B in the 500 Bloque de E.
