En 0037 horas, an Oxnard police officer was flagged down by two male subjects, 19-year old and 20-year old Oxnard residents, en el 2300 Bloque de la avenida El Dorado. The two told the officer they had been assaulted and robbed. Promover, they pointed out the car that the suspects were in.

The officer immediately affected a stop on the vehicle. un tema, a male wearing a bandana and black hooded sweatshirt, fled on foot. The officer stayed with the suspect vehicle and detained three subjects. Other officers arrived and assisted in the arrest of Salvador Avalos, Efrain Parra, and Jose Villa Lobos for robbery and other charges.

There had been two other robberies earlier in the evening. One occurred at 2219 hora en la 400 Bloque de East Pleasant Valley Road. A 17-year old Oxnard resident was robbed of his wallet and cell phone. Four suspects were described including one wearing a bandana.

Another robbery occurred at 0013 hora en la 100 Block of Dolores Court. A 19-year old Oxnard resident was beaten and robbed. This victim was treated at SJRMC with moderate wounds to his head and face. Otra vez, multiple suspects were described and fled.

Officers and investigators are continuing their investigations and believe all three robberies are related.

En 12/6/13, en aproximadamente 1128 horas, an officer from the Oxnard Police Department conducted a consensual contact on a subject in the area of Wankel Way and Lombard Street. Further investigation revealed that the subject, Marco Vences, was in possession of an unloaded handgun in his backpack and narcotics on his person. Vences was arrested without incident and charged with possession of an unloaded handgun, arma de fuego no registrada, and a controlled substance. En 03/01/2014 en 0908 hours officers with the Oxnard Police Department responded to the call of a burglary in progress at Trojan Storage at 1801 Eastman Avenue. El sospechoso, Kevin Lynch, was observed breaking into vehicles.

Officers responded to the area and tried to contact Lynch at the business. Lynch fled from officers in a light blue sedan. Officers attempted to pursue Lynch, but he drove at such high speeds that officers elected to discontinue the pursuit. As Lynch was fleeing the area he lost control of his vehicle and collided with the center median at Gonzales and C Streets. Lynch fled from the disabled vehicle but was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. While Lynch was being medically cleared at St. John’s Hospital he fled from officers and medical staff. Lynch was re-captured after another foot pursuit. Lynch was booked for recklessly evading officers, attempted escape, resisting an officer, y vandalismo.

En marzo de 8, 2014, en 6:40 a.m., an anonymous caller reported seeing two male subjects looking into vehicles in the area of Ivywood Drive and M Street. Officers responded to the area and located Calim McClelland and Michael Ebert, who matched the description given by the anonymous caller. Both McClelland and Ebert were carrying bags that were found to contain stolen property. Both were arrested for possession of stolen property and for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

We are still attempting to locate the owners of some of the property that was found. If you were the victim of a burglary or theft from your vehicle, please contact the Oxnard Police Department to make a report.

En 3/13/14 en 3:50 a.m., agentes del Departamento de Policía de Oxnard fueron enviados a la 3000 block of Circle Drive reference a suspicious vehicle. The witness advised that a white Chevrolet Blazer was circling the area and then parked. The witness was able to provide a license plate number as well as a detailed description of the vehicle. Responding officers located the suspect vehicle and the registered owner, Cirilo Flores, Valentin standing beside it.

Tras realizar investigaciones adicionales, officers located a victim vehicle in the area with a smashed rear window and both rear doors open. The owner of the victim vehicle was located and interviewed. It was determined that items from the victim vehicle were inside of Valentin’s vehicle. Valentin was arrested for possession of stolen property and possession of methamphetamine.
