En 3/13/14 en 3:50 a.m., agentes del Departamento de Policía de Oxnard fueron enviados a la 3000 block of Circle Drive reference a suspicious vehicle. The witness advised that a white Chevrolet Blazer was circling the area and then parked. The witness was able to provide a license plate number as well as a detailed description of the vehicle. Responding officers located the suspect vehicle and the registered owner, Cirilo Flores, Valentin standing beside it.

Tras realizar investigaciones adicionales, officers located a victim vehicle in the area with a smashed rear window and both rear doors open. The owner of the victim vehicle was located and interviewed. It was determined that items from the victim vehicle were inside of Valentin’s vehicle. Valentin was arrested for possession of stolen property and possession of methamphetamine.

The Oxnard Police Department encourages residents to be partners in public safety as part of the Operación segura y resistente initiative. This is an excellent example of a neighbor who saw suspicious activity, called the police, and provided the appropriate information.

We would like to encourage anyone who sees anything suspicious to call 9-1-1 and report it. You can remain anonymous. We would also like to remind residents to lock their cars and not leave valuables in their vehicles. En 02/17/14 en aproximadamente 1838 horas, oficiales fueron enviados a la 2000 block of Mariposa Street in regards to a shooting. When officers and EMS personnel arrived they located two male subjects that had been shot. One of the male subjects died as a result of his injuries. The victim was identified as 24 años de edad, Joshua Van.

Investigators are attempting to locate the person shown in the surveillance photo. Investigators believe that he may have vital information that will help identify the possible suspect/s. En 9-16-14, en aproximadamente 2314 horas, the victim of a stabbing arrived in the lobby of the Oxnard Police Department. The victim sustained several stab wounds. The victim advised the stabbing occurred in the 400 bloque de S. C St. The victim identified the suspect as “Jose”. La víctima fue transportada al Centro Médico del Condado de Ventura para el tratamiento. The victim’s injuries were serious, but not life threatening.

Los agentes respondieron a la 400 bloque de S. C St. to investigate the incident. Mientras estaba en escena, officers contacted the suspect Jose Nunez Andrade, 58-residente de Oxnard años de edad. Andrade was ultimately arrested for a violation of 245 PC, and later booked into the Ventura County Main Jail. Una investigación continúa.

En agosto 6, 2014 en alrededor 2230 horas, two unknown male suspects entered the Circle K Convenience Store, situado en 490 Sur Victoria Avenue, Oxnard. The first suspect brandished a handgun at the store employee and demanded money. The store employee handed money from the register to the first suspect. The second suspect then took the money from the first suspect and put it in his pocket. The suspects fled the business in a white sedan.

The first suspect is described as a white male, late-twenties, approximately six feet tall, weighing approximately 185 libras. The second suspect was described as a dark-skinned male, mid-twenty, approximately six feet tall, weighing approximately 185 libras. Both suspects were wearing hoods to cover their faces.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be an early 1990’s white Nissan Sentra. The suspect vehicle was last seen fleeing the location northbound onto Victoria Avenue.
