DETALLES: En 12/22/15 en aproximadamente 2154 horas, an Oxnard Police patrol sergeant observed a vehicle driving recklessly in the area of Gonzales Road and Patterson Road. He attempted to stop the white Toyota Scion however, the driver refused to yield. The sergeant pursued the vehicle westbound on Gonzales Road and estimated that the vehicle reached speeds over 100 mph. The sergeant lost sight of the vehicle when it reached the intersection at Harbor Boulevard.

While officers searched the area they could hear screaming coming from the thick brush located west of the intersection toward the beach. When they investigated further they were able to see part of the white Scion about 230 feet into the brush off the roadway. With the help of Oxnard Fire and the Ventura County Sheriff’s helicopter, the officers were able to locate the driver of the vehicle and identified him as 21 year-old Lompoc resident Fernando Arias Bribiesca. Bribiesca suffered minor injuries and was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center for medical treatment.

Bribiesca was charged with evading a police officer, driving under the influence of a controlled substance and transportation of a controlled substance.

DETALLES: En enero 16, 2016, en alrededor 8:41 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department and EMS responded to a traffic collision involving a vehicle and several pedestrians. The collision occurred at the intersection of Thomas Avenue and Saviers Road.

Preliminary investigation indicates that Hugo Escobar’s vehicle collided into the pedestrians as they were crossing the street in the cross walk. The pedestrians were transported to VCMC for treatment. Genaro Rodriguez and the 11 month old were admitted to the hospital for observation.

En 10/23/2015 the Oxnard Police Department responded to a local high school regarding a foreign exchange student disclosing that she was touched inappropriately by her host parent, John Milton Jackson. The minor female victim began living with the host family in September 2015. Detectives from the Oxnard Police Department’s Family Protection Unit (FPU) initiated an investigation into the allegations. After several months of investigating the allegations, Jackson was arrested at his place of business in the City of Oxnard for child annoying, sexual battery, and sending harmful matter to a minor. He was booked at the Oxnard Police Department jail, where he later posted bail. Su fianza fue fijada en $20,000.

Investigators learned during their investigation that John Jackson was employed as the Area Coordinator with ASSE International Student Exchange Programs at the time of the reported incidents. Investigators also learned that John Jackson has worked for other student exchange programs in the past, thus, believing there may be other victims that have not come forward regarding similar incidents. The FPU is asking the public to come forward if they have information that can assist them in their on-going investigation.

El domingo, Febrero 07, 2016, entre 12:00 p.m. y 4 p.m., the Oxnard Police Department conducted a Motorcycle Safety Enforcement Operation throughout the city limits. Durante la operacion, officers issued 16 citations for various motorcycle violations, 29 citations for various vehicle violations, and arrested one person who had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

The Oxnard Police Department wants to make everyone aware of the precautions that can be taken to reduce the number and severity of collisions involving motorcyclists. Motorcyclists are reminded to use proper lanes positioning, match your speed to traffic around you, and to wear an approved D.O.T. helmet. Drivers are reminded to look twice for motorcyclists when turning or entering the roadway.

The Oxnard Police Department will continue to conduct these types of enforcement operations this year to make our roadways and community safer. These operations are funded by grants from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) ya través de la Administración Nacional de Seguridad Vial.

En 2-23-09 en 9:50 Oficiales PM respondieron a una llamada de una víctima del tiroteo en la zona de Carlos y Chester. A su llegada los oficiales localizaron a la víctima de que había sufrido una herida de bala. La víctima fue trasladada a San. Centro Médico Regional de Juan, donde fue trasladado al quirófano y se encontraba en condición grave pero estable.

Investigators learned that one victim was confronted in the street by two suspects’ that attempted to rob him of his property. Cuando la segunda víctima acudió en su ayuda le disparó al sospechoso. El sospechoso huyó de la zona antes de la llegada del oficial. El sospechoso de no conseguir ninguna propiedad del ataque.

DETALLES:

En 2-23-09 en 8:15 hours officers responded to St John’s Regional Medical Center after receiving a call of a shooting victim that arrived by private vehicle. Upon the officer’s arrival, they were told that the incident occurred in the alley of the 1300 bloque de Saviers Rd.. Detectives were told that a verbal confrontation took place in the area of Hill St. and Benton Way. The confrontation continued to the 1300 bloque de Saviers Rd.. The victim was confronted by one suspect armed with a baseball bat and a second subject who was in possession of a handgun. The suspect with the handgun shot the victim and fled from the area on foot.

The victim was taken to a local area hospital by family members where he underwent emergency surgery. The victim died a short time after coming out of the surgery. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Oxnard Police Chief John Crombach and District Attorney Gregory Totten announced today that detectives are making significant progress in the investigation into the August 27th killing of Oxnard resident David Laut. Evidence collected by Oxnard police investigators indicates that Mr. Laut was not the victim of random violence by a prowler. Investigators are pursuing several leads and are confident that an arrest will be made in the case. Sr.. La 65 año viejo Oxnard ha muerto esta mañana por complicaciones debido a una herida de arma blanca sufridas ayer por la tarde. En 2/16/10 en aproximadamente 5:46 pm, officers responded to a call of a stabbing victim in the 300 bloque de Cooper Rd. La víctima, que no ha sido identificado positivamente fue transportado a un hospital local donde fue sometido a una cirugía de emergencia. La víctima posteriormente sucumbió a sus heridas y fue declarado fallecido en 5:40 am de hoy.

Durante la investigación, Detectives were successful in identifying the suspect responsible for the stabbing. El sospechoso fue identificado como 54 años de edad, Salvador Medina Tena de Oxnard. En 2-17-10 en 1130 horas, officers spotted Tena walking in the 300 bloque de East 5th St. El sospechoso fue contactado y puesto bajo custodia sin incidentes. The victim reported that, en 06/14/10, en aproximadamente 1930 horas, he was walking in the parking lot in the 800 bloque de W. Wooley Rd.. He was confronted by a Hispanic male suspect in possession of a handgun. The suspect demanded the victim’s cellular phone and wallet. After receiving the property, the suspect fled on foot southbound on G Street.

En 10:46 a.m. this morning, Oxnard police received an emergency call of a fight in progress.
