En enero 31, 2014, en alrededor 1755 horas, agentes del Departamento de Policía de Oxnard respondieron a St. John’s Regional Medical Center reference a gunshot victim. Oficiales contactaron con la víctima, Armando Rivera, 25 años de Oxnard, who told them that he, and two friends, were walking in the 300 block of West Hueneme Road when they were confronted by two subjects. After a short verbal exchange, shots were fired from a small caliber handgun and the victim received a single, non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim was driven to St. John’s Regional Medical Center by an unknown person.
The Oxnard Police Department received information that a black Nissan Maxima or similar type vehicle may have been involved in the incident.
