En octubre 14, 2015 en aproximadamente 3:00 A.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to a call of a juvenile who was stuck in a chimney. The Oxnard Fire Department responded and extricated the juvenile from the chimney. Initial investigation showed the juvenile did not live in the area and is now suspected of burglary. After the juvenile was medically cleared at the Ventura County Medical Center, the juvenile was booked into Ventura County Juvenile Hall on charges of commercial burglary.

En enero 6, 2016, en alrededor 5:30 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department and EMS responded to a hit and run traffic collision involving a vehicle and a female pedestrian. The collision occurred at the intersection of Wooley Road and Richmond Avenue.

Preliminary investigation indicates that an unknown vehicle collided into the pedestrian near the intersection. Después de la colisión, the driver fled in the vehicle in an unknown direction. El peatón fue declarado muerto en la escena.

DETALLES: En enero 16, 2016, en aproximadamente 2300 horas, Oxnard police officers responded to a fight heard in the 1400 bloquear de Gina Drive. While enroute to the emergency call, the officers were notified that a person had been stabbed. Emergency Medical Services and police officers arrived on scene and located the male victim. The victim was placed in an ambulance and transported to the Ventura County Medical Center. Despite the lifesaving efforts of the medical staff, the victim succumbed to his injuries and died.

Preliminary investigation indicates that subjects were involved in an altercation that led to the stabbing. Investigators were notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation. La investigación continúa.

ON FRIDAY, Noviembre 30, 2007, EN APROXIMADAMENTE 0600 HORAS, OFFICERS FROM THE OXNARD POLICE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO A POSSIBLE SEXUAL ASSAULT THAT HAD JUST OCCURRED. Aproximadamente 11:40 esta mañana una 34 Mujer Oxnard años que acude a través de nuestro 911 sistema que ella acababa de ser asaltado en su casa. Los agentes respondieron con rapidez a un complejo de apartamentos en el 3100 bloque de Peninsula Road y en contacto con la víctima.

She reported that someone had knocked on her door, and upon answering the door she found a man standing there. He spoke to her briefly in Spanish and as she attempted to explain that she did not understand Spanish he forced his way into the apartment, knocked her to the floor, struck her and climbed on top of her.

Moments later the woman’s pet, un 16 year old sheepdog, came to her assistance. There was a scuffle between the suspect and the dog and the suspect may have been bitten. At that point he ran from the apartment.

The woman described her assailant as a Hispanic male, aproximadamente 35 year of age. He was approximately 5’ 7” and weighed about 130 libras. He spoke Spanish and was wearing blue jeans with some mud on them, a black hooded sweatshirt, and work boots. Llevaba gafas de sol con marcos cuadrados.

En 12/30/10 en aproximadamente 2359 horas, Oxnard Los oficiales de policía fueron enviados a la 400 bloque de East Pleasant Valley Road con respecto a una lucha en curso. En 06-24-2011 Los oficiales observaron Juan Pina cuando intentaba robar más de 100 galones de gasolina. Pina estaba usando una bomba eléctrica para desviar la gasolina de los tanques de almacenamiento subterráneo en un gran contenedor de almacenamiento de agua en el interior de su vehículo. En 9/16/13, en aproximadamente 5:40 AM, Officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to the area of the Paz Reserve Apartments (3410 Peninsula Road) after receiving a call of suspicious subjects loitering in the area in the area. Officers located two suspects, Gabriel Ortega of Oxnard, and a male juvenile, in the apartment parking lot. Officers located a vehicle that had been broken into and found both suspects to be in possession of items taken in the vehicle burglary. Both were arrested without incident.

Durante la investigación, officers located several additional items of stolen property but were unable determine where the property came from. Investigators are asking anyone who may have information regarding this incident to contact Detective Nathan Martin at 805-385-7755.

DETALLES: En 10/19/2013 en 2000 hours an Oxnard Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop on a white Ford Thunderbird for a vehicle code violation. El oficial de contacto con el controlador, Alejandro Herrera. Durante el contacto, the officer located a loaded handgun inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Herrera was arrested for multiple weapons violations, incluso: possession of a concealed firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of ammunition by a felon, possession of a firearm by a drug addict and possession of a firearm with the serial number removed. en adición, the firearm was found to be stolen.

Herrera is a Post Release Offender (PRO) and has a prior conviction for possession of a concealed firearm. The Post Release Offender program releases non-violent, non-sexual, non-serious criminals from State Prison pursuant to Assembly Bill 109.
