During the September 11, 2012 Oxnard City Council meeting, Oxnard resident Francisco Romero provided a document entitled “Subpoena – Order to Appear Before the People’s Tribunal for Justice.”

The document (attached) demands that Chief Williams and “seven (7) un-identified Oxnard Police Officers involved in the death of Robert Ramirez” appear before a “people’s tribunal” hearing that is scheduled for the following week.

The Oxnard Police Department is proud to announce two more National Night Out events in Oxnard, mañana.

In addition to our larger eventat Via Marina Neighborhood (see earlier news release from 8/1/13) , a second event will partner with the Oxnard Housing Authority and Senior Housing at 801 S. C Street in downtown Oxnard from 6:00-8:00 pm.

National Night Out is designed to: (1) heighten crime prevention awareness, (2) generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs, (3) strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, y (4) send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized, vigilant, and fighting back.

“In the spirit of our neighborhood policing strategy we are proud to partner with the Oxnard Housing Authority, Senior Housing, y Voces de la Comunidad—a community organization aimed at promoting peace throughout Oxnard—for a smaller, more intimate event with residents and friends,” said Senior Officer Jeff McGreevy.

“We very much appreciate the support from our colleagues across the City as well as our local community organizations that are invested in building a stronger and safer community for everyone who lives, trabajos, and visits our great City.” said Chief Jeri Williams.

Along with traditional outside lights and front porch vigils, most cities and towns celebrate National Night Out with a variety of special citywide and neighborhood events. This event at 801 S. C Street in downtown will also include a papering for residents and guest including hair, make-up, and photo for seniors at the event, courtesy of the Huenemean Bohemian Foundation.

The third event will take place at Sycamore Senior Village at 333 N. F STOxnard CA 93030, also in Oxnard from 6:00-8:00pm.

“This is a good night to get to know your neighbors, and help build a stronger and safer community while promoting awareness, safety and neighborhood unity. It further highlights the importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement in our fight for a safer Oxnard and community. We hope this year’s events serve as model for what more neighborhoods in our community can organize next year” said Police Chief Williams.

NNO is a national effort of cities, law enforcement agencies, crime prevention organizations, community groups and neighborhoods.

DETALLES: The Oxnard Police Department Traffic Unit will be conducting a DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint on Saturday, Marzo 15, 2014 en un lugar secreto dentro de los límites de la ciudad en el horario de 8:00 p.m. a 3:00 a.m.

DETALLES: En mayo 23, 2015, Los agentes de policía de Oxnard respondieron a un robo de auto y robo en el 1300 cuadra de la calle West Guava. During the commission of the crime, both suspects simulated having a handgun in their waistbands, demanded the victim’s property, and pulled him from the vehicle. A third subject entered the victim’s vehicle and drove away.

Los investigadores de la Unidad de Crímenes Violentos (VCU) investigated the robbery and carjacking incident. Durante la investigación, VCU investigators were able to positively identify both Cordova and Juarez as the suspects who committed the robbery. The third suspect who left in the victim’s vehicle was never identified. Cordova and Juarez are both documented gang members within the City of Oxnard.

En mayo 29, 2015, Ventura County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of a disturbance that occurred at the Thousand Oaks Mall. Cuando ellos llegaron, they located both Cordova and Juarez in the mall parking lot in possession of a reported stolen vehicle. Both suspects were arrested for various offenses and the VCU investigators were notified. VCU investigators responded to the Ventura County Main Jail and arrested Cordova and Juarez for the May 23^rd carjacking and robbery incident to include a gang enhancement.

En febrero 18, 2016, en el Tribunal Superior del Condado de Ventura, Gerardo Cordova and Benjamin Cordova Juarez pled guilty to robbery with the gang enhancement. Cordova and Juarez were sentenced to 14 years in prison for their crimes.

This is another example of the hard work and dedication of the officers and investigators of the Oxnard Police Department, and a collaborative effort between our community members and the District Attorney’s Office.

En 9-26-10 investigadores de la Unidad de Policía de Oxnard Departamentos de Delitos Mayores, donde contactó por el sospechoso René Ramos. The Oxnard Police Department Traffic Unit conducted a multi-location sobriety and driver’s license checkpoint on Friday, Julio 8, 2011, desde 6:00 P.M. a 12:00 A.M.

En 1405 horas, officers located a stolen black 2005 Mercedes Benz sedan in the 2600 Bloque del Sur Ventura carretera. The suspected driver of the vehicle, later identified as Timothy Dalrymple, 11-19-77, fled on foot. An officer chased and apprehended Dalrymple.

Dalrymple was found in possession of a loaded .308 caliber handgun and narcotics. He also had an outstanding PRO warrant for failing to report. Dalrymple was arrested for the stolen vehicle (10851 CVC), possession of a narcotics and a handgun (11370.1 H&S), as well as other gun violations.
Dalrymple is currently in the Post Release Offender Program, creado por Bill Bill 109 - el 2011 Realineamiento de la seguridad pública, que entró en vigencia en octubre 1, 2011. El sábado, Noviembre 14, 2015, entre las horas de 8:00 p.m. y 2:00 a.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department conducted two DUI/Driver’s license checkpoints in the City of Oxnard. The first checkpoint was conducted in the southbound lanes of Saviers Road south of Laurel Street. The second checkpoint was conducted in the northbound lanes of Ventura Road at Fifth Street. These locations were chosen to provide increased DUI deterrence and in response to recent alcohol related arrests and/or DUI collisions.

The checkpoints resulted in the following:

· 610 vehicles through
· 489 los conductores examinados
· Six DUI investigations
· One DUI alcohol arrest
· One DUI drug arrest

All six of the DUI investigations and the two DUI arrests took place on Saviers Road. He was also charged for failing to have an ignition interlock device installed in his vehicle.

A ban on vending from vehicles or structures and a ban on selling vehicles or structures on Oxnard’s roadways will be enforced beginning March 1, 2009 por el Departamento de Policía de Oxnard.

En 6-15-09 en aproximadamente 2310 horas, officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to a call of shots heard in the 1100 bloque de West Hemlock.
