Investigators believe Kimberly is in California or Mexico

When Kimberly was last seen she was in the custody and care of her father, 31 year-old Omar Misael Lopez of Oxnard. Kimberly was previously a dependent child of the Ventura County Juvenile Court. Custody and care of Kimberly was given to Omar by the juvenile court. After Omar completed required services, the case was dismissed in March 2015. Kimberly’s mother, 25 year old Mayra Chavez Lopez, was given supervised home visits with Kimberly. The visits were to be supervised by Omar and Maria Lopez, La madre de Mayra. The last reported sighting of Kimberly was during a home visit by a Ventura County Children and Family Services (VCCFS) social worker on March 10, 2015, just after the case was dismissed.

Investigators have interviewed family members, friends and associates of Mayra and Omar who have expressed their concern for Kimberly’s disappearance and are assisting law enforcement in the search for Kimberly.

Omar and Mayra are currently in custody on civil arrest warrants for failing to provide accurate information on the whereabouts of Kimberly. Omar and Mayra have relatives that reside in several different cities in Mexico. Investigators know Omar and Mayra traveled to Mexico several times during the time period that Kimberly was last seen.

Kimberly Lopez is described as a 4 años de edad, light-skinned Hispanic female. Kimberly has brown hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 3 feet tall and probably weighs 40 a 50 libras.

The Oxnard Police Department is offering a $10,000 reward to anyone with information that directly leads investigators to the whereabouts of Kimberly Lopez. (Oxnard, California)– El Departamento de Policía de Oxnard está solicitando la asistencia del público en localizar una niña desaparecida. La niña desaparecida, Kimberly López, de cuatro años, fue vista por última vez el 10 de marzo del 2015 en una residencia en la cuadra 900 de Denver Place en Oxnard, California.

La última vez que fue vista estaba en la custodia de su padre, Omar Misael López, 31 años de edad, de Oxnard. Anteriormente Kimberly era una dependiente de la Corte Juvenil del Condado de Ventura. La custodia de Kimberly se entregó a Omar por la Corte Juvenil y el caso se destituyo en marzo del 2015 después de que Omar cumplió los servicios requeridos. The Oxnard Police Department is currently searching for a missing 42 year dependent adult who walked away from his group home. Francisco “Frank” Munoz was last seen in the 4400 block of Browning Drive around 6pm this evening. Sr.. Munoz has “moderate intellectual disability” and has the metal capacity of a 7-10 años de edad. Sr.. Munoz in non-communicative, but does understand requests and commands. Sr.. Munoz is described as a Hispanic male 5’-4” tall, 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Sr.. Munoz was last seen wearing a dark colored t-shirt and orange shorts.

Currently the Oxnard Police Department is conducting an area search for Mr. Munoz.

En la fecha y hora anterior, officers from the Oxnard Police Department attempted to stop the suspect vehicle in the area of Eastwood and North “F” Streets in Oxnard for traffic violations. The vehicle failed to yield and officers pursued the vehicle throughout Oxnard. The vehicle entered the northbound 101 Freeway at Oxnard Boulevard, and exited at Johnson Drive in Ventura. The vehicle continued to flee from officers before coming to a stop in the area of Sunridge and Stork Streets in the City of Ventura. Two occupants fled from the vehicle; one subject, Marin, was quickly detained, found to be in possession of a firearm, and was arrested. Officers from the Oxnard and Ventura Police Departments searched for the additional subject who fled from the vehicle but were unable to locate that subject.

Two additional subjects remained with the vehicle. Martinez was arrested for obstructing the duties of the police officers, and the female juvenile was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

El lunes, Noviembre 21, 2016, en alrededor 9:58 a.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department and EMS personnel responded to the intersection of Gonzales Road and Williams Drive after receiving a call of an injury collision involving two vehicles. Cuando llegaron los agentes, they found that a white, Honda CRV had struck a blue, Ford Ranger and a tree.

The driver of the Honda CRV, Jan Thompson, sustained major injuries and was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC) where she is listed in critical condition. A passenger in the Honda CRV, Toni Thompson, sustained major injuries and was also transported to VCMC where she is also listed in critical condition.

The driver of the Ford Ranger, Jesus Cardenas, sustained minor injuries and was released from the scene after being evaluated by EMS personnel.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the Honda was traveling westbound on Gonzales Road towards Williams Drive and rear-ended the Ford that was stopped at a red light at Williams Drive. After colliding with the Ford, the Honda then drove onto the sidewalk where it collided with a tree.

It is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were factors in this incident. La colisión es todavía bajo investigación.

En noviembre 18, 2016, entre las horas de 12:30 p.m. y 2:30 p.m., a small number of students from Pacifica High School walked out of school in protest of the recent national election. Officers from the Oxnard Police Department assisted with traffic control to ensure the safety of the students and that there was minimal impact to motorists in the area.

The protest was peaceful and there were no arrests or property damage.

Escuela secundaria de Oxnard, Pacifica High School, Channel Islands High School, and Hueneme High School all provided forums on their respective campuses for their students so that the students could voice their opinions and concerns regarding the recent election.

Assistance was also provided by the Oxnard Union High School District.

En la fecha y hora anterior, an Amtrak train that just left the Oxnard Transportation Center collided with a pedestrian that was on the railroad tracks. This collision occurred on the railroad tracks south of Cooper Road adjacent to Oxnard Boulevard.

The adult male suffered significant injuries and was transported to VCMC for his injuries. The train remained at the scene.

Traffic on Cooper Road at Oxnard Boulevard has been impacted. There is no access to Cooper Road from Oxnard Boulevard. Motorists are encouraged to find an alternate route at this time.

DETALLES:
En noviembre 14, 2016, en aproximadamente 12:20 a.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of East Gonzales Road on a white, 2001 Toyota Avalon after observing a traffic violation.

During contact with the driver, Daniel Miramontes, a high-powered, scoped rifle, later found to be fully loaded, was observed on the rear seat of the vehicle. Miramontes was taken into custody and a search of his person led to the discovery of a concealed, loaded handgun and brass knuckles. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle’s interior and located an additional loaded handgun in the center console. Miramontes was placed under arrest and determined to have been previously convicted of felonious crimes. He was also found to be out on bail for weapons possession and sales of narcotics offenses. Miramontes was charged with possession of firearms and being a convicted felon in possession of firearms. He was booked into the Ventura County Jail.

En noviembre 12, 2016, en aproximadamente 8:55PM, Officers from the Oxnard Police Department conducted a traffic stop on the above listed vehicle. Officers had knowledge that the driver, Arrieta, tenía una orden de arresto pendiente, and was on searchable probation.

Once the vehicle stopped, two subjects immediately fled from the vehicle. El controlador, Jesus Arrieta, remained inside the vehicle, and was arrested for his warrant. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle pursuant to Arrieta’s probation, and located a loaded firearm inside of the vehicle. Arrieta was also found to have been previously convicted of a felony. His charges included carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle, and being a felon in possession of firearm. Officers did not locate the two subjects that fled from the vehicle.

En noviembre 10, 2016, entre las horas de 9:00 a.m. y 12:00 p.m., students from Pacifica High School, Secundaria Hueneme, and Channel Islands High School walked out of school in protest of the recent national election.
