DETALLES: (Oxnard, California) - Two shootings in Oxnard left one person with a non-life threatening injury, and no victims were reported or located in another reported shooting incident.
The first incident occurred on October 14, 2017, en aproximadamente 9:25 p.m. at the Arco gas station, situado en 2850 Avenue South Rose. According to information obtained by police, a 20-year old Hispanic male was standing near the gas pumps when he was confronted by an unknown person. Durante el enfrentamiento, the victim was shot once in the leg. The victim drove himself to the Saint John’s Regional Medical Center. The victim’s injury is not life-threatening.
The second incident occurred on October 15, 2017, en aproximadamente 2:03 a.m. en el 2500 block of El Dorado Avenue. Several 9-1-1 calls were received from residents who heard numerous gunshots in their neighborhood. Police officers arrived at the scene and searched the area looking for any victims. No se localizaron víctimas, but the police officers did locate evidence of a shooting.
Detectives are trying to locate a motive for the shootings and determine if they are related.
