DETALLES:
En noviembre 1, 2017, en aproximadamente 4:25 a.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department and EMS personnel responded to a single vehicle collision on Harbor Boulevard south of Wooley Road. Cuando llegaron los agentes, they discovered that a Ford Expedition with six occupants had collided into a tree in the center divider. El controlador, identified as 18-year-old Port Hueneme resident Jazmine Castro, and one passenger, identified as 18-year-old Camarillo resident Gissell Mares, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The four remaining passengers were transported to local hospitals; 19-year-old Christina Cruz of Oxnard, 19-year-old Sonia Martinez of Oxnard, and a 15-year-old male juvenile of Port Hueneme sustained minor to moderate injuries and are listed in stable condition. sin embargo, despite receiving medical treatment, a 17-year-old female passenger of Ventura succumbed to her injuries.
Sobre la base de la investigación preliminar, traffic investigators determined that the Ford Expedition was traveling southbound on Harbor Boulevard and then veered onto the center divider colliding into a palm tree. It is believed that speed and alcohol is a contributing factor to the collision. La colisión es todavía bajo investigación.
