En febrero 23, a aproximadamente 6:14 p.m., agentes de la Unidad Especial de Aplicación (unidad de pandillas) attempted to conduct a traffic enforcement stop near the intersection of Rose Ave. y Pleasant Valley Rd. for a vehicle code infraction. The driver initially yielded in the strip mall in the 4800 blk of South Rose Ave. but then rapidly accelerated from the traffic stop after brief contact with the officers. The suspect drove with disregard for other motorists and pedestrians in the area.
