DETALLES: En febrero 2, 2019 en aproximadamente 2317 horas, officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to an armed robbery at the Jack in the Box restaurant located at 960 N. Ventura carretera. Se determinó que la balacera ocurrió dentro de un negocio abandonado, a suspect armed with a knife entered the business and stole an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene.
Investigators from the Oxnard Police Department Violent Crimes Unit investigated the case. During the course of the investigation, investigators were contacted by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office regarding a burglary that occurred at another Jack in the Box restaurant in the City of Camarillo. Believing the cases were possibly related, investigators from both agencies worked together to identify a suspect.
During the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified as Raul Botello, un 19 year old City of Oxnard resident. En marzo de 15, 2019, en aproximadamente 1200 horas, Botello was arrested and charged for the robbery that occurred on February 2, 2019. At the time of his arrest, Botello was already in custody for the burglary that occurred in the City of Camarillo. The robbery investigation is still ongoing.
