DETALLES:
El miércoles, Mayo 15, 2019, desde 10:30 yo igual 11:30 al, the Oxnard Police Department will be hosting its 20ª Annual Memorial Ceremony. La ceremonia tendrá lugar frente al Departamento de Policía de Oxnard..
En 1962, Presidente John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15ª as Peace Officers Memorial Day, and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. Décadas después, the event became known as National Police Week. Este año, National Police Week is from Sunday, Mayo 12, 2019, to Saturday, Mayo 18, 2019. During National Police Week, thousands of law enforcement officers and survivors travel to Washington D.C. and other parts of the United States to honor those officers that made the ultimate sacrifice.
Our Memorial Ceremony will honor Oxnard’s seven fallen police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Each officer made the ultimate sacrifice while proudly wearing the badge of the Oxnard Police Department and bravely working to keep the City of Oxnard safe.
Our fallen Oxnard Police Officers are:
