SUBJECT: Oxnard Resident Arrested for Possession of a Stolen Motorcycle

On September 28, 2021, at approximately 1:00 pm, members from the Oxnard Police Department Auto Theft Task Force were in the area of the 1400 block of Huntswood Way when they observed a motorcycle without a license plate. The motorcycle was in possession of Jaime Juanes, a 27-year-old resident of Oxnard.
The motorcycle was reported stolen from the City of Oxnard earlier in the year. Investigators also observed that the vehicle identification number (VIN) had been removed from the motorcycle.
Jaime Juanes was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, removal of a public vehicle identification number, and possession of a stolen vehicle with a prior felony auto theft conviction.
Auto Theft Detectives ask residents to help prevent auto theft in our community by never leaving vehicles running while unattended and to remove all keys and valuables from their vehicles. It is also advised for residents to remember to lock and secure their vehicles before going to sleep at night and utilize vehicle alarms or anti-theft devices like the Club.
The detectives assigned to this case are attached to the Property Crimes Unit. The Property Crimes Unit is made up of detectives that are committed to solving and preventing property-related crimes in the City of Oxnard.
