On 9-22-12 at 2200 hours, Oxnard police officers and Oxnard Fire Department personnel responded to the 3800 Block of Saviers Road reference a reported single vehicle collision into a structure. Both the vehicle and structure were reported to be on fire.
Officers and firefighters learned a stolen vehicle had been parked in the West alley of the 3800 Block of Saviers Road and set on fire. At some point an electrical box attached to a nearby building caught fire ultimately causing a charged power line to fall to the ground. Officers and firefighters checked for victims and persons with injuries with negative results. Originally, evacuations were reported, but this was not the case. Damage to the structure is estimated to be $20,000
