DETAILS:
On May 16, 2014, at 12:33 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to a stabbing that had occurred at the 2100 block of East Channel Islands Blvd. Officers learned that the victim, an 18 year old Oxnard resident, had been approached by several Hispanic male suspects who began challenging him as he sat in his vehicle. In an effort to avoid being assaulted by the suspects the victim attempted to drive out of the area and inadvertently drove his vehicle into one of the local businesses causing structural damage. The victim attempted to flee from the suspects on foot; however, the suspects pursued him and ultimately stabbed him several times. The victim is currently at Ventura County Medical Center and is in stable condition.
The investigation is on-going as to the outstanding suspects and motive of the stabbing.
