On April 25, 2013 Josue Puga was arrested for 1,705 counts of graffiti vandalism, 25 of the counts resulted in damage in excess of $400 and were charged as felonies. The total amount of damage caused by Puga is approximately $300,000.
Investigators gathered information during a several month long investigation that led to the identification and arrest of Puga for the graffiti vandalism.
Each year the City of Oxnard spends hundreds of thousands of dollars cleaning up graffiti vandalism on both private and public property throughout the city. The City of Oxnard takes the crime of graffiti vandalism seriously and will continue to investigate the crimes, and arrest the offenders.
