DETAILS: On 4/18/14, at about 2015 hours, officers from the Oxnard Police Department Special Enforcement Unit were working enhanced uniform enforcement in the 1300 block of Gonzales Road, in response to the recent violent gang activity in the area. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle observed circling the area. The occupants of the vehicle, Michael Silerio and Patrick Kenton, were contacted and subsequently found to be in possession of a .45 cal handgun, a 9mm handgun, and a large amount of narcotics. Both Silerio and Kenton are previously convicted felons and prohibited from possessing a firearm. Silerio and Kenton were arrested for several narcotics and firearms related charges.
