DETAILS:
On May 16, 2015 at approximately 6:57 a.m., officers were dispatched to check the well-being of the resident in the 1000 block of Inlet Drive. When officers arrived they located a male subject inside the residence unresponsive. Fire and EMS arrived to provide aid to the victim but unfortunately he was deceased.
The victim was a 59 year old Oxnard resident. His name is being withheld until his family is notified. Investigators are interviewing witnesses and a person of interest in this case. The motive and cause of death is unknown at this time. Investigators don’t believe this is a random act nor do they believe there is a threat to public safety. This is Oxnard’s sixth homicide of the year. The City of Oxnard offers up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspect(s) in homicide cases.
