DETAILS:
On 08/25/2010 at approximately 9:55 a.m., an Oxnard Police Community Service Officer was sent to handle a residential burglary report that had just occurred. When she arrived to the neighborhood of the where the burglary had just occurred she noticed Octavio Rivera carrying a computer monitor. She quickly confirmed with the victim that a computer monitor was in fact one of the many stolen items and notified police officers in the area.
Officers detained Rivera and his girlfriend, Natasha Garvie, in the 200 block of Fashion Park Place near Rivera’s residence. Rivera was found to still be in possession of some of the stolen property at the time. A search of Rivera’s residence was conducted and additional stolen property was located. Rivera and Garvie were arrested for the burglary and possession of stolen property.
