The checkpoint will be held throughout the City of Oxnard and is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
From the beginning of 2010, the Oxnard Police department has arrested over 220 drivers for DUI and has investigated over 50 DUI related crashes.
