DETAILS:
(OXNARD, Calif) – On Monday March 11, 2013, at about 10:13 a.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department stopped Daniel Ruiz for a traffic violation. Ruiz was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. When arriving at the police station, Ruiz told officers that he was not feeling well. As a precaution, officers contacted Gold Coast Ambulance who responded. Ruiz told emergency personnel that he had swallowed some methamphetamine. Ruiz was transported to St. John’s Hospital in Oxnard where he was admitted.
