DETAILS:
On 2-9-14, at approximately 1952 hours, officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to the report of a single vehicle traffic collision in the area of Bryce Canyon and “A” Street. Additional information was received indicating a shooting may have occurred as well. Once on scene, officers learned that the victim vehicle was travelling south on “A” Street in the area of Bryce Canyon when a Hispanic male in a hooded sweatshirt fired shots at the vehicle. The vehicle collided with a tree, and all occupants fled from the vehicle. Two occupants were located in the area and were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries as a result of the traffic collision. A third occupant believed to be in the vehicle at the time of the collision was not located.
Officers were unable to learn anything further about the suspect. Evidence of a shooting was located.
