DETAILS: On May 12th, 2014, officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to the 4200 block of Harbor Blvd in the City of Oxnard in reference to the online enticement of a minor female by an adult male. The minor’s mother reported that she discovered that her 14-year-old daughter had engaged in sexual conversations through Facebook with an adult male.
On July 9th, 2014, after an extensive two month investigation, detectives from the Oxnard Police Department’s Family Protection Unit arrested Patrick Brian Kennedy at his place of employment in the City of Goleta. Mr. Kennedy was arrested for various charges including: traveling for the purposes of engaging a minor for sex, delaying and obstructing a police investigation, conspiracy to commit a crime, and child annoying. He is currently in custody with bail set at $250,000.
Detectives have reason to believe that there may be other minor victims that have been contacted by Kennedy through Facebook. Anyone with additional information should contact Detective Terrance Dobrosky at (805) 385-7609.
