DETAILS:
On 12/28/13 at approximately 0105 hours, officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of North Oxnard Blvd. regarding a stabbing that had just occurred. When officers arrived they located a male subject that was stabbed. Despite emergency responders’ efforts to save the subject, he died as a result of his injuries.
The subject was a 24 year old Oxnard resident. His name is being withheld until his family is notified. Investigators were able to identify the suspect as Oscar Valles, 43 year old Oxnard resident. Valles is outstanding and police are attempting to locate his whereabouts. Valles and the victim knew each other and investigators believe they had a personal dispute that led to the victim being stabbed. This is Oxnard’s 15th homicide of the year. The City of Oxnard offers a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspect(s) in homicide cases.
