On September 28, 2016, at 7:15 p.m., the Oxnard Police Department responded to a call of a shooting victim in the 1700 block of Jones Way. When officers arrived at the location, it was discovered that a single male victim was found with a gunshot wound. EMS personnel responded and transported the victim to the Ventura County Medical Center.
All south and north lanes of Rose Ave. between Oxnard Blvd. and Ives Ave. have been closed while the investigation proceeds.
Motorists should seek an alternate route when driving into the area. There is currently no estimated time for re-opening the road.
