(OXNARD, Calif) – The Oxnard Police Department is releasing the names of the two homicide victims from this past weekend.
Daniel Arciga, a 22-year old Oxnard resident, was shot and killed on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at approximately 10:11 p.m. Oxnard police officers found Arciga in the 3300 block of Merced Place. EMS arrived but declared Arciga deceased at the scene.
Guillermo Garcia, a 27-year old Oxnard resident, was shot and killed on Sunday, October 15, 2017, at approximately 2:56 a.m. Garcia was found unresponsive by Oxnard police officers in the south alley of the 1300 block of Azalea Street. EMS arrived on scene and declared Garcia deceased.
Although both murders occurred several hours apart, Major Crimes detectives say there is no indication or evidence to believe that the murders are related.
The City of Oxnard offers a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect(s) in homicide cases.
