DETAILS:
On July 26, 2017, at approximately 8:15 p.m., Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) along with the departments K-9 Unit and Special Enforcement Unit (SEU), observed wanted subject Robert Valenzuela, walking in the area of Deodar Avenue and “A” Street. As officers approached Valenzuela he discarded a loaded firearm and was subsequently apprehended by a police canine.
Valenzuela is a documented member of a violent criminal street gang in Oxnard, and has two prior firearm convictions.
